About the lab

The Environmental Biogeochemistry Research Group is headed by Professor Peter Jaffé and is part of the Environmental Engineering and Water Resources (EEWR) Program in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton University. Members of our group study the fate and transport of environmental contaminants, including nutrients in aquatic environments, with a focus on their remediation in both, natural settings as well as treatment systems.  To address these problems, we integrate laboratory and field experiments with mathematical modeling in order to enhance our predictive understanding of the physical, chemical, and biological processes affecting environmental quality.

For more information on current research projects, see the Research Page.  If you have further questions or are interested in working with our group, send Prof. Jaffé an email.
